The needs are many, but resources are scarce
Indonesia is a proud and diverse land. Unfortunately, it has
suffered severe setbacks due to an unstable currency, graft, hikes
in fuel prices and rampant unemployment.
When you consider that a population close to that of the United
States (245 million) in an area close to the size of Alaska and
Montana together with only 11% arable land, the magnitude of the
problems becomes clear.
IAF is planning to collaborate and cooperate with the Indonesian
government as much as possible to alleviate the problems the people
are suffering.
As much as we hope to do through the Indonesian government, USAID,
and corporate grants, individual donations are still essential to
ensure that the work of IAF continues to flourish and grow.
Here's what
you can do today
Be a part of raising the standard of living of Indonesians —
Improve housing so its safe and it’s inhabitants can survive an
earthquake-
Provide parents with the knowledge to always be able to feed their
children-
Help the people to create businesses and work to escape the cycle of
poverty-
Give villages clean water to drink—
And so much more—
